Black passes away (26 January 2016)

Colin Vearncombe, better known as Black, was born 26 May 1962. He passed away on the 26th of January following injuries from a car wreck on the 10th of January.

Glenn Frey passes away (18 January 2016)

Glenn Frey was born 6 November 1948. He was a  singer, songwriter, producer and actor, best known as a founding member of the Eagles rock band.

A tribute at the Eagles’ official website reads:

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of husband, best friend, father, comrade, and Eagles founder, Glenn Frey, in New York City on Monday, January 18th, 2016.

Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis and Pneumonia.
The Frey family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his recovery.

Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love and respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community & millions of fans worldwide.

Musician and actor David Bowie was born David Robert Jones on 8 January 1947. He passed away after an 18 month bout with cancer.

Natalie Maria Cole (born February 6, 1950) was the daughter of Nat King Cole and an accomplished singer in her own right, passed away on December 31st.
