Chart Debuts – 18 December 1965

The Beatles’ double A-side single “We Can Work It Out” and “Day Tripper” debuted on the Billboard Top 100 chart 50 years today. The album “Rubber Soul” was released earlier in the month, although neither song from the double single was included on the album.

Other songs from that album included “Drive My Car,” “Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown),” “Nowhere Man,” “Michelle,” “Girl,” and “In My Life.”StevieWonder_Uptight

That week’s Billboard chart also includes Stevie Wonder’s classic “Uptight (Everything’s Alright).
